  $10000 loan, paid about $130/month for 6 months for a total of $780. Balance was still over $9800. $580 interest/fees in just 6 months time! The one $27 fee was due to being late maybe 2 days. Customer service? Took about 10 minutes to get out of automation to a human being. Clearly a large busy call center in India. Very nice people there, but I bet Synchrony Bank is taking advantage of them by paying them pennies on the dollar wages.

  DO NOT... I repeat, DO NOT conduct business with these mindless imbeciles! Strange how they have people who don't know English or basic business skills work for a banking / credit card institution! I have reported these people and I will not stop until word gets out! Nearly 2.5 years ago, I opened a credit account with them. Never received a credit card, but received notice in the mail that I have a delinquent balance. I contacted customer service explaining that I never received a credit card nor the bill! They would not work with me and I have to call multiple times to explain this to so-called supervisors!. All they want to do is make money any means how, which includes maliciously billing you unreasonable fees. After having to call every month to dispute their erroneous fees, I decided to just pay the balance in full to avoid the frustration. I contacted them a week ago, to give them another chance because I was considering getting new furniture for my home. I received a credit increase and informed that I still have not received a credit card. The representative could not provide me with the mailing address it was sent... because THEY NEVER SENT ONE. I requested a card to be mailed to my physical address and was assured that I would receive it in a week. I just got notice that they CLOSED my account and my credit score, which I've worked hard and maintaining GOOD credit, dropped nearly 10 points. This was one of my oldest credit cards! They are freaking IDIOTS!!! Stay away from them! I called and the representative could not explain what happened and the supervisor would not own up to their error! IDIOTS working with our credit and finances is DANGEROUS!
